This club was founded in 2004 to implement a recycling program at LHS. The system is now in place and it is the responsibility of club members to periodically take the cans and bottles to the Wal-Mart Recycling Center. Raising money and ordering new containers are both essential to the expansion of the program. The club also seeks to promote awareness of environmental issues through education of both the club members and the student body. Dedicated members who care about the welfare of the environment are needed to keep this club up and running.
