If your student is ill or not going to be at school, please call the Attendance Office.
When your child has an appointment, we ask that parents/guardians call in no later than two (2) hours prior to the appointment whenever possible. The same applies to parents/guardians needing to pick up their child early from school.
Students who have an appointment scheduled during the school day need to stop by Students Services to pick up an off-campus pass from Mrs. McAnderson between classes prior to their appointment. This limits classroom interruptions while ensuring students get their pass to leave on time.

Parents and Students: We are on block schedule this week. Wednesday schedule is 0, 1, 3, 5, 7 dismiss at 2:30pm and Thursday is 2, 4, 6 start at 9:05am and dismiss at 2:00pm.
Kansas regulations require the adoption of written policies to govern the use of Emergency Interventions in all schools. Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI) is defined as seclusion and restraint that is used when the student presents an immediate danger to self or others. Lawrence Public School’s Board of Education adopted an ESI policy (GAAF) on October 28, 2013 which is available on the district’s website. This policy will also be available on the building websites and online handbooks as of November 14, 2014. If you need a hard copy of the ESI policy, please contact your building principal.

This Saturday 4-8pm, Chipotle on 23rd Street will be fundraising for the JAG classes. JAG stands for Jobs for America's Graduates and is need of money for chapter t-shirts, activities, and service learning projects for this year. So this Saturday, go to Chipotle, 4-8pm and tell them it’s for JAG.
