September ACT
LHS will be offering the September 12th ACT test. The Registration deadline is August 7th, late registration with an additional fee will run through August 21st. Act will not send out the materials for distribution until July. So if we have students interested in taking the Sept. test they will have to do it on line.

Athletic Department:
Summer is here and we have completed another year of athletics at Lawrence High School. Our athletes, coaches, and teams worked hard and we brought home two state titles. Our boys cross country team brought home their first number one finish, and our baseball team brought home their third. Congratulations athletes and coaches!
It seems like a long time away, but it won't be long until fall sports get into swing. There are many opportunities available to athletes to keep in shape for the 2009-2010 school year including: summer weights, summer camps and Dog Days.
Throughout the school year and during the summer, LHS along with the KSHSAA encourages all students to continue efforts to encourage their growth as good citizens and to uphold the standards we support:
good sportsmanship, ethics, integrity, and respect of others.
Sportsmanship is one of the strongest educational lessons and lifetime values taught by interscholastic activities, not just athletics. We continue to encourage your friends, sons and daughters to participate in activities at Lawrence High School as either a participant or a spectator.

Athletics Department Information:
The Athletic Office will be closed from June 9 until July 29. Athletic forms for fall sports may be picked up or dropped off in the main office.
Forms may be downloaded from the athletics page.
The KSHSAA
PPE-Participation Evaluation form (physical form) has been updated for fall 2009. Only the new form will be accepted after May 1, 2009.
